The registration for US-Russian IT Seminar, taking place in Chicago, PALMER HOUSE HILTON HOTEL on the 22nd of September is going on.
Russian IT Season 2005 is the unique meeting place for Top-managers of IT companies from Russian and Eastern Europe and IT-Executives, CEOs and CIOs of US companies who are exploring the opportunity of expanding their businesses to new regions, outsourcing, reselling, developing or localization of their products.
From the seminar program participants will learn about:
- Russian IT market opportunities and software development capabilities, Russian economy, government policies, infrastructure, certifications and many other aspects from Russian Trade Representative in the US
- Barry Mason, senior analyst for Application Outsourcing and Offshore Services at IDC, one of the authors of the "Worldwide Offshore IT Services 2005-2009 Forecast" will present his view on offshoring and outsourcing to Eastern Europe as the alternative to the Far East.
"During the past few years, the offshore delivery of IT services has rapidly evolved from a destination for low-end, low-cost services to an integral part of most vendors' service delivery strategies. Given that offshore is generally considered a standard part of most any IT services contract, vendors will need to further distinguish themselves by growing their global delivery capabilities and building a broader range of transformational services. It is only through this maturation process that offshore vendors will continue to enjoy the extraordinary growth rates of the first half of this decade," said Barry Mason, senior analyst for Application Outsourcing and Offshore Services at IDC. - Arthur L. George, Principal of the TOP-10 law firms in America - Baker & McKenzie will share his experience in legal aspects of IT business with Russia. Baker & McKenzie were among the very first companies entering Russian market. At 1989 they became one of the first international law firms in Moscow.
- TOP US Companies and leading Russian IT Service providers – the best of the best – that are currently working on software development projects with U.S. businesses, will showcase the examples of existing co-operation. You will be able to exchange the experience with companies already using IT service providers and consultants in Eastern Europe.
