LUXOFT, a leading Russian software development company, has been assessed at Level 4 of the Capability Maturity Model- (CMM) established by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. SEI SW-CMM- is an industry-standard benchmark to assess an organization's software development process and methodologies.

The significant aspect of this achievement is the enterprise-wide scope of the assessment, including all the software developed and maintained by LUXOFT. The Level 4 assessment validates LUXOFT repeatable, defined and managed software development processes and puts LUXOFT amongst the best organizations in the software industry worldwide. The independent SEI-authorized Lead Assessors Bernard Heritier and Jacques Joubert from ALSTOM led a team of four LUXOFT internal assessors through a full CMM-Based Appraisal for Internal Process Improvement (CBA - IPI) reviewing LUXOFT projects in-depth to confirm the organization's Level 4 achievement. The SEI ratings, developed by Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pa., assist customers in determining reliable and low-risk suppliers of software products and services. SEI maturity ratings are earned through an exhaustive independent evaluation involving analysis and review of a company's software development capability, processes and products.

"We were impressed to find project management standards so vigorously supported with quality assurance procedures," said Bernard Heritier, SEI-Authorized Lead Assessor, Alstom. "A visible commitment to process discipline by senior management, a track record of successful projects and business growth led to the SEI SW-CMM Level 4 certification for the entire LUXOFT organization."

"The CMM Level 4 rating is an indication of our sustained commitment to deliver maximum value and quality to our customers", said Simon Milman, Quality Assurance Director of LUXOFT. "It distinguishes LUXOFT as an organization dedicated to the successful, on-time and on-budget application of information technology to address the strategic business needs of our clients."

"This accomplishment was possible through the company's investment and effort placed on process, quality and project management. We have proved once more that Russia is capable to provide the best-in-class software products and solutions. LUXOFT undertook comprehensive internal processes improvement program to strengthen our positions in a marketplace with its growing understanding of increasing value of quality, predictability and repeatability, and to ensure the delivery of cutting the edge software products to our clients. We are exceptionally pleased with this achievement ", noted Dmitry Loschinin, managing director of LUXOFT.
