The Russian CIO Summit 2005 opens doors to a collection of professionals, who realize the significance of information technology and for raising the level of controllability and competitiveness of the Russian economy. The CIO Summit today is the place for informal contact for IT-directors, discussion of problems that stand before them, and coordination of strength and efforts and to render help to one another.
The Program committee is declared
The Program Committee of the Summit includes the following persons: Maxim Belousov ("Akonit"), Sergey Dmitriev (TD "Copeck"), Vladimir Kiva (TD "Perekrestok"), Alexey Kravchenko (club 4cio.ru), Paul Pestrjakov ("Inkom Nedvigimost"), Michael Pliss ("Unimilk"), Stanislav Sahar ("Torgovaya Square"), Boris Slavin ("Inkom-Avto"), Michael Susorov ("Technonikol-Moscow"), Kirill Soloveichik.
Foreign visitors of the Summit
The unique feature of the Russian congress of IT-directors is the presence of well-known figures of the foreign IT-community - CIOs of large companies from the list Fortune 500 are ready to share experience with the Russian colleagues. This year among the foreign speakers there are Bette Walker (CIO, Delphi Corporation), Webb Edwards (Executive VP of Technology, Wells Fargo), Ron Kifer (CIO, DHL Express), Andres Carvallo (CIO, Austin Energy), James Woolwine (CIO; Majestic Insurance). All of them used to participate at foreign conferences and carry titles of the best IT-directors on ratings of various magazines (ComputerWorld, Informationweek). Please pay attention that all of them represent different industries - mechanical engineering, power, transport and logistics, and finance.
The special guest of the Summit will be Nicolas Karr, the author of the book "Shine and poverty of information technologies". He will lead discussion about the role of information technologies in business.
Draft of the program
The first draft of the program is published on the site www.cio-summit.ru/program.php. The Program committee now works on it. According to the plan of the organizers, the program will consist of several blocks: plenary sessions with performances of key speakers (important foreign and Russian CIO), debatable round tables on which IT-directors will discuss the most relevant themes for them, and so-called "bench" reports in which companies-providers of IT-services will present the most interesting case studies (concrete examples of decisions made in the enterprises).
This year the Congress of IT-directors is organized in collaboration with clubs of IT-directors of Moscow and St.-Petersburg. The number of participants - about 250, more than 150 of them will be IT-directors.
Participation of the leading CIO clubs of Moscow and St.-Petersburg in preparation of Russian CIO Summit 2005 confirms the fact that it is the best platform in Russia for setting business contacts, to establish and develop partner communications.
Participating in CIO the Summit, you define the further ways of influence on the market, on development of public structures, business and information-communication technologies of Russia.
