RVC’s US subsidiary lends Russian start-ups hand in gaining global experience

Mar 28, 2013
RVC-USA, the Boston-based North American subsidiary of Russian Venture Company (RVC), invites Russian start-ups for participation in MassChallenge, an international competition of innovation projects, where teams can pitch their best ideas to global gurus in tech innovation, the RVC website reports.

RVC-USA has been a sponsor of the contest for a second year running.

Those willing to participate are expected to apply electronically by April 3, 2013. RVC-USA is ready to render applicants any assistance, including in putting together applications.

RVC-USA gets involved in MassChallenge to create the fast track for Russian start-up companies to expand globally. There were 125 team finalists of the competition last year, of which three came from Russia to present their advanced projects. They gained invaluable experience from communicating with US mentors.

Axel Tillmann, the CEO of RVC-USA, said he was impressed with the performance of Russian start-ups participating in MassChallenge 2012, and as a serial entrepreneur he is looking forward to meeting Russian teams and technologies this year.
