Siberia’s Krasnoyarsk business incubator joins European peers

Mar 27, 2013
The Krasnoyarsk Regional Business Incubator for Innovation and Technology (KRITBI) in Siberia has formally joined the European BIC Network (EBN), the European umbrella organization for business incubators and innovation project support entities. The decision to grant KRITBI EBN’s membership status was made earlier this year in Brussels, news agency RIA Novosti reports citing Andrei Gnezdilov, vice governor of the Krasnoyarsk region.

KRITBI works to develop regional infrastructure to promote commercialization of scientific innovations. The main goal of the business incubator is to aid promising project teams in polishing and refining their ideas and products, raising investment, and looking for strategic partners and/or customers.

"EBN offers a highest possible level and determines trends in Europe’s innovation business development. As an EBN member KRITBI now gives its residents access to both information and technical support from the network. What is even more important is that now local companies can look for reliable international partners and share best practices related to incubating businesses," Mr. Gnezdilov said.

The European BIC Network promotes coordination of its member-incubators’ activity aimed at supporting and developing small and medium-sized businesses both within and beyond the EU.
