RBC, 11.04.2005, Moscow 17:16:51. Russia possesses sufficient intellectual resources to offer an alternative to the Silicon Valley, Leonid Reyman, communications and information technologies minister of Russia told journalists today. He stressed that Russia maintained a rather high level of professional training. In particular, Russian graduates can apply their knowledge of exact sciences to promote intelligence technologies.

Leonid Reyman emphasized that it was necessary to create an environment which would invite specialists so much welcomed abroad to stay in Russia and use their experience. According to the minister, he believes it important that Siemens is now participating in a number of projects supporting the intellectual basis in Russia. Reyman believes that based on historical scientific centers, Russia should set to increase the potential, for instance in Novosibirsk, Moscow and St. Petersburg etc. He also mentioned television medicine as an example of information technologies, where Russia stands the chance of even exporting its scientific and technology solutions.
