LUXOFT Announces Press-center Sponsorship at the Russian Outsourcing Software Summit 2004
Apr 07, 2004
The Russian Software Outsourcing Summit will take place in St.Petersburg in June 2004. Traditionally Summit brings together leading software development companies from Russia, representatives of western business looking into offshore software development, and the world leading experts in outsourcing market.
Last year event's leitmotif was acknowledgment of Russia having tremendous IT growth potential due to abundance of talented resources, cultural proximity, and improved IT infrastructure. However, active promotion of positive Russian IT image was identified as one of the weakest points that serves as a barrier on a way to success. In a continuous effort of solving this problem, LUXOFT, ongoing participant of ROSS and a leading player in Russian outsourcing industry, chose to sponsor ROSS 2004 press-center.
Company is going to organize a number of interesting informational events and interactive discussions to thoroughly cover the most important milestones of Russian Outsourcing for the past year, to spread the Russian IT success story into circles of mass media, and to share LUXOFT's successful working experience with the rest of event's participants.
Simon Milman, LUXOFT's QA Director, whose expert knowledge drove company's effort to become the first in Europe and one of the few companies in the world to achieve CMMI level 5 rating, is going to be a principal speaker at the summit's QA panel. Mr. Milman will deliver a presentation entitled "From Basics to Word Class Standards in 3 Years", which details the road taken to attain the highest level of software process maturity, and how this achievement is fulfilling LUXOFT's promise of delivery excellence.
LUXOFT will also take part in the "Management of distributed teams in the outsourcing projects" panel, which will focus on Project Management of distributed projects in the software development outsourcing. LUXOFT will outline the necessary steps to take and important aspects to consider in order to make the work of remote project teams a definite success.
