According to the results of research held by the IDC analytical company, the annual turnover of the Russian IT market, which amounted to $7.1bn as of January 1 this year, will gain 26 percent by the end of 2004. At the same time, the company's analysts draw attention to the fact that the total IT expenses will exceed $17bn by 2008. "Although economic growth in 2004 will not be as fast as it was in the previous years, it will remain stable and will stimulate investments in IT equipment, software and services," an IDC analyst said.
