First meeting of the North-Western IT Companies Directors' Club, with the support of Moscow "4CIO" Club (http://www.4cio.ru/), took place in the conference hall of internet-cafe "Max" on October 28.

Within the meeting the organization issues of the Club were discussed, considered the problems for the next meetings and selected the coordinating board, composed of Belousov M.V. ("MFF" Akonit") and Soloveichik K.A. (OAO "Lenpolygrafmash").

This Club is supposed to become the union of professionals, who form the view on IT development in their organizations and based on it, influence on the solutions, technology, goods providers, who actively take part in forming the IT standards.

The main goals of the Club are:
  1. Creating the basis for sharing the opinions about current IT use problems.

  2. Creating informal groups of the common fields or by any other guideline, which on the behalf of the Club would have an influence upon the providers, solution developers and consultants.

  3. Organization of the anonymous quality control over providers, solution developers and consultants, in order to create white/black list (independent rating).

  4. Elaboration of the unified policies within the cooperation with large provider's, developer's and consultant's companies as well as other standards of IT area.

  5. Creating an independent consulting center for owners and chiefs of the companies, where they can receive weighed approaches and solutions of their problems, provided by independent IT professionals.
