Russian parliament passes amendments to copyright law

May 15, 2004
The State Duma passed amendments to the law "On copyright" in the third and final reading. The proposed new wording removes possible complaints against Russia in the event of its accession to the World Trade Organization, as they open up an opportunity for Russia to join the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights.
