1. The number of participating companies has already exceeded the previous year, over 210 companies, among them 102 companies represnet customer side, 50%, which is the unique figure, the highest among all previous Summits.

2. This year Summit is co-located with LISA Forum Russia, devoted to outsourcing and globalization.

3. The Summit venue this year is Hotel Pulkovskaya****, close to the airport. The new exhibition hall, renewed conference halls and the new large restaurant Paulaner give Pulkovskaya the first place among St Petersburg conference hotels.

4. The Summit has got the new name - Russian Outsourcing 8 Software Summit, ROSS, which reminds also about the name of the organizer, Fort-Ross Consortium.

5. The amount of mass media people from abroad is also the highest - over 10 journalists from USA, Germany and Finland and over 50 journalists totally. All leading Russian business and computer newspapers and magazines will be represented at the Summit.

6. 25 countries are represented at the Summit - Russia, USA; Germany, Finland, UK, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Ukraine. Bulgaria, Latvia, Canada, China, Chech republic, Denmark, France, India, Japan, Korea, Luxemburg, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden.

7. 15 regions of Russia - St Petersburg, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Voronezh, Perm, Rostov, Chelyabinsk, Velikyi Novgorod, Saratov, Ekaterinburg, Yaroslavl, Kazan, Samara.

16. The special panel will be devoted to the Russia's leadership in outsourcing of telecom software. The speakers at the panel are Nokia Networks and telcordia as well as Russian telecom giants as Megafon and Vimpelcom. The organizer is company Artezio

17. The roundtable about IT resources in Russia will be organized by company Auriga, the roundtable will bring together the representatives of Russian Ministry of Education and leading Russian IT universities (St Petersburg University of Information Technology, Moscow State University, St Petersburg State University), winners of the world championship in programming.

18. The great news of Russian software industry will be announced at the Summit - merger of two leading software associations, Fort-Ross and RUSSOFT and forming of one largest software development association uniting all industry leaders from St Petersburg, Moscow, Novosibirsk and Nizhny Novgorod.

19. IT outsourcing providers and software development companies from Russia, Byelorussia, Ukraine, Latvia, Bulgaria will be present at the Summit. All industry leaders, the largest and well-established companies will be there.

20. The matchmaking session is supported by online booking of meetings which is going on right now. The companies are using the special matchmaking software developed especially for the Summit.

21. Different side events are included into the Summit program - lunch with American Chamber of Commerce members, Quality Lunch devoted to QA and QC discussions, Telecom reception for participants of telecom panel, meeting of Scandinavian working group, etc.

23. The preliminary results of the largest market survey of the Russian software development industry (500 companies) conducted by Fort-Ross and CNews / RosBusinessConsulting will be announced at the Summit.

25. "Russian Quality Assurance revolution" will be discussed at one of the roundtables. All companies with CMMi and CMM levels 3, 4 and 5 will speak at the roundtable.

26. The special panel will be devoted to Russian-German co-operation within software development. Ernst &Young will present their study about IT-outsourcing done among German CIOs at the panel.

27. The special panel will be devoted to Russia-US IT-outsourcing strategy. Such companies as NeoIT and BridgeQuest will speak the panel followed by a case study presented of Mirantis / Cadence and Applied Materials.

28. The Summit participants will hear the greeting from Mr Jores Alferov, Nobel Prize winner, one of the most famous St Petersburg citizens.

29. As usual, the Summit will be accompanied by many networking activities - Grand Beer reception at Paulaner restaurant (with home made beer), Gala reception in Gatchina park - picknique in historical surroundings, with life music and White nights Boat trip along Neva river and Finnish gulf.

30. The legal problems of software promotion abroad will be discussed at the special round table *How to organize successful international business on own products*.
