MOSCOW, April 28 (RIA Novosti) - In the interview to the newspaper Vedomosti, Russian Information Technologies and Communication Minister Leonid Reiman expressed hope that benefits for IT companies will start working already this fall. A program for setting up IT-parks has been adopted but some things are standing in its way, he said.

The IT internal market is growing by 20 to 25 percent annually but, for world-class competition a tempestuous growth is required. Here, IT-parks come to help. By 2010 Russian IT companies are to be ready for competition with the world leaders, and IT-parks have been designed for this purpose.

However, the creation of free economic zones should not be linked to IT. These out-of-bounds territories having a special customs and tax regime are better fit for supporting car or some other manufacture.

The IT and Communication Ministry is seeking to propose versatile measures to back up IT companies. They should be fit for companies already known on the world market and small greenhorn companies.
