IAOP The Global Outsourcing 100Six Russian IT companies — Artezio, Auriga, EPAM Systems, First Line Software, Luxoft and Reksoft — have been listed in the annual IAOP The Global Outsourcing 100 rankings as the best service providers in the field of outsourcing. The members of the RUSSOFT trade association have once again confirmed their high standing in the global IT industry ratings.

IAOP - International Organization of Outsourcing Professionals - elaborates the standards and promotes the outsourcing model on the global market. IAOP unites 120,000 companies and individuals involved in outsourcing, offshoring, and shared services. The difference between GO 100 and other industry ratings is that companies are evaluated not only by volume, but also by qualities such as customer satisfaction, organizational efficiency, the presence of social and research projects, openness and the professional skills of top management.

"This is not the first time that Russian IT companies have taken a leading position in global rankings of the top IT solution and service providers," said Valentin Makarov, President of RUSSOFT. "In addition, Russia shares 3 and 4 place with China in the number of companies in the Top 100, leaving only the United States and India ranking higher. Taking into account that the only a selection of companies in the rating are representatives of the high-tech sector, the share of Russian companies in the IT services sector is even greater. Due to the existing engineering and technical potential, the high quality of training and experience of working on a global market, the Russian IT companies (both services and products) are one of the few truly effective Russian brands."

"There are a number of criteria by which IAOP experts select companies that enter the top hundred," notes Alexander Egorov, CEO of Reksoft. "There are no preferences given to companies on a geographical basis. They consider the size of the company, number of employees, technological expertise of specialists, management experience and customer feedback. The fact that Russian providers of software engineering services have for many years been included in this rating indicates that by some of the criteria we stand on equal footing with global IT service providers." Reksoft’s CEO believes that only active marketing by the state and by industry associations will be able to help Russian outsourcing companies to achieve leading positions on the global market.

Pavel Adylin, CEO of Artezio, notes that the share of Russian outsourcing is growing worldwide, despite the difficult situation with personnel. In addition, a growth in quality can also be seen: Russian IT companies are signing long-term contracts, are being invited to conduct research, and are starting to work within the state sector in the EU. "However, the qualitative development of the Russian IT industry would do better to follow the path of niche strategies and high-technology development, as the global outsourcing market is already densely filled by Indian and Chinese companies, with which we cannot compete — neither on the level of wages, nor on the number of specialists or by volume of PR and marketing activities," says Adylin. "In addition, our major markets are still the US and Western Europe, although the interest in Russian companies and government organizations has been growing in recent years."

"The six Russian companies’ combined experience in the global marketplace exceeds 100 years, which speaks to the maturity of the Russian IT services industry", says Nikolai Puntikov, Chairman, First Line Software. "This market is extremely competitive with many new entrants, so in order to remain in the top echelon year after year, providers need to remain creative and constantly reinvent themselves, offering innovative technologies, methodologies, and business models. These Russian firms are demonstrating consistently that they are capable of that. For First Line, being recognized on the IAOP’s Global Outsourcing 100 again in 2013 is an important affirmation that we are moving in the right direction in developing and enhancing our service offerings."
