Jul 09, 2004
On July 5-6 a delegation from the Kansai Information System Industry Association (KISA) visited Russia for the first time. KISA came to Russia to learn more about the Russian software development industry and to get acquainted with Russia's leading software exporters. LUXOFT, Russia's premier software outsourcing provider was among those who welcomed and hosted the Japanese delegation.
With 470 members from Japan's central regions, KISA is the largest association of Japanese IT companies. The delegation actively inquired about expertise, projects, and success stories while visiting Russian software development companies in Moscow and St. Petersburg. When the KISA representatives came to LUXOFT's main office complex in Moscow, the Japanese businessmen expressed high opinions of the company's extensive experience and accomplishments in software production.
"We are hopeful that KISA'a first visit will become the initial step towards successful cooperation between our two countries," - commented Dmitry Loschinin, LUXOFT CEO. "It's well known that Japan currently outsources the majority of its IT and software projects to China. To become a player on the Japanese market Russia must demonstrate its competitive advantages; doing this will result in mutually beneficial relations that will expand the global presence of Russia's software development industry."
