LUXOFT, Russia's premier software development vendor, is cited as a leading Russian IT service provider in the latest META Group study focusing on the Russian Offshore services market.
The study, authored by META Group analyst Stan Lepeak, speaks highly of the Russian IT services market and its potential to compete with and become an alternative to the dominant Indian offshore services market. The research sheds light on Russia's widely recognized strengths, including the country's vast and highly specialized IT skills, large professional base, stability, and low personnel turnover rates. At the same time the study also points out existing challenges, such as modest government support, limited business process/vertical industry domain expertise, and the lack of a national brand.
