The Russian Federation and France intend to develop cooperation in IT and communication

Russian-French working group on new informational technologies and communication will assist in cooperation development between software developers associations in Russia and France. As reported on the Russian Ministry of Communication web-site, during the meeting of the working group which took place on October 15-16 in the Ministry of Communication it was particularly decided that Association RUSSOFT and French SYNTEC Informatique will establish cooperation in the field of stuff retraining and probation for undergraduates in both countries. In the course of the meeting the position of the Russian Federation on the question of WTO entry in telecommunication, computer and other connected services was stated. Besides the working group achieved the agreement to carry out Russian-French regular consultations on standardization, normative-legal documents development in telecommunication for their adaptation to the international requirements. The next meeting will presumably take place in Paris in the latter half of 2003.
