RESTEC Exhibition Company and Russoft Association Have Agreed Upon Cooperation Aimed At Popularization And Development of the Russian Open Source Software Movement

In 2005 two efficient and important events entirely devoted to open source software development are taking place for the first time in Russia:

RESTEC and Russoft have agreed on the informational partnership within the two new annual projects - LinuxWorld Russia 2005 and Open Source Forum Russia. Both of the events would contribute to forming credibility of Russian IT community to open source and Linux-based solutions; Open Source Forum Russia is mainly oriented to communication between vendors and users of open source solutions, LinuxWorld Russia 2005 is focused on demonstration and promotion of Linux-products.

The main advantage of LinuxWorld Russia 2005 and Open Source Forum Russia is that both are aiming at a highly professional audience: C-level executives and leading IT specialists from enterprises and governmental organizations, software developers and network specialists, systems administrators, IT managers, and educational institutions.
