The volume of software exports from Russia doubled in 2002 and amounted to more than $200m, President of the Inforuss consortium Andrey Mosolovich announced at a meeting of the Russian-Indian business council held in Moscow.

The Inforuss President noted that representatives of Russian companies were going to study experience of their Indian colleagues in promoting software products on global markets.

In comparison, India's software exports totaled $7.6bn in 2002. Participants of the meeting named the implementation of joint projects for the development of software products a top priority in Russian-Indian IT collaboration.
