DELL and LUXOFT Set Up a Dedicated Software Development Center

Moscow, Russia, June 18 - 2002. DELL Computer Corporation, the world's leader in computer systems production, and LUXOFT, one of the major software development companies in Russia and member of the IBS group, announce the establishment of a Moscow-based Dedicated Software Engineering Center. The Center is a hybrid unit which will operate on the basis of LUXOFT Moscow production facilities and manpower capacity and will implement software development projects delegated to it by DELL. The Moscow-based Dedicated Center will add to the family of DELL's European IT centers now located in the Great Britain, France and Ireland.
Nowadays, when business is becoming ever more demanding for sophisticated information systems it is more efficient to concentrate on the company's core competencies and delegate solution of beyond-the-competency but nonetheless critically important IT challenges to a reliable partner. The Dedicated Center, established by DELL and LUXOFT, will operate in accordance with such a model of strategic partnership.
The Center is a dedicated, customized, secure and fully controllable software engineering unit operating in Russia and following DELL's practices, methodologies and culture. It is a scalable-upon-request team of best-of-breed software engineers. Every team member has been selected on the basis and in compliance with the strictest criteria set by DELL in terms of relevant experience, domain knowledge and educational background.
