Russia eases employment of foreigners at Skolkovo innovation hub

The decree is posted on the Russian Government website

Apr 24, 2015
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of Russia has signed a decree that extends the government list of organizations, which are authorized to hire foreign employees without prior permit to do so, to include entities participating in the Skolkovo innovation hub project.

Back in 2012, the Russian Cabinet endorsed its initial list that included scientific and innovation organizations with the authority to invite foreign nationals for research and/or teaching activity without any obligation to seek special permit most other legal entities in Russia have to obtain to hire foreigners.

"The decree that has just been signed adds to this list the legal entities that participate in the creation and operation of the Skolkovo innovation center. This decision will contribute to the pursuit of Skolkovo’s objectives," the Government website explains.
