E-commerce service for SMEs developed in Tomsk

Supl.biz is an e-commerce service enabling users to look for suppliers of goods and services and seek out markets for their own products

May 20, 2015
An innovative company in Tomsk, in Siberia, has developed an electronic trade venue for small businesses. The developer is a resident start-up of the Tomsk State University’s business incubator, the TSU website announced.

Supl.biz is an e-commerce service enabling users to look for suppliers of goods and services and seek out markets for their own products.

The service already has a database of more than 750,000 companies across Russia and the former Soviet Union. A user can place an order for, say, furniture, and the system will automatically send the order out to the email accounts of potential suppliers. Those interested in a deal with the customer can send their proposals back to the system. The user considers the proposals and chooses one that suits him most, explained Evgeny Dyachenko, the project leader and an associate professor at TSU.

Supl.biz is believed to be "unique" for the Russian market, as all competitors are focused on large-scale businesses.
