The funding will be used to refine the iMotion controller by improving its movement recognition algorithms, increasing the stability of the device and fine-tuning it for multiple operating systems, including Android, iOS, Linux and Mac. The developers also intend to create customized solutions for major vendors such as Samsung and LG, who will apply iMotion technology to the management Smart TV.
"The project team was able not only to find their niche, but also to secure a significant amount of pre-orders. It’s a clear sign of legitimacy when projects are interesting for investors as well as for end users," said the director of the RVC Seed Fund Alex Teleshev.
The controller is equipped with a webcam and can detect movement of as little as 2 millimeters with precision. iMotion can be used as a supplement the Xbox One game console and also integrates with existing software that allows users connect it to television systems and virtual reality glasses. The company has already received several orders for the device and plans to start production of the controller in May. Among the priority markets for the developers are Southeast Asia and the United States.
