CEO of STAR Software elected to the Board of RUSSOFT

Apr 22, 2003
On March 31, Nick Puntikov, the CEO of STAR Software (www.star-sw.com), was elected to the new Board of the National Software Development Association RUSSOFT.

Nick Puntikov has headed STAR Software since its founding in 1991. Under his guidance the company has grown into one of the key software outsourcing service providers in Russia. STAR's status as a market leader has been highlighted by CIO Magazine in its "Buyers Guide to Offshore Outsourcing" (www.cio.com/offshoremap/russia.html) and by Ernst & Young in its report "The Russian IT Market: Analysis and Review." Both named STAR Software among the major OSD players in Russia.

Nick Puntikov is a true promoter of the Russian offshore software development industry in international markets. His company is a founding sponsor of Outsourcing-Russia.com, a non-profit informational portal setting out the advantages of Russian IT service vendors to prospective corporate consumers worldwide.

The National Software Development Association (NSDA RUSSOFT, www.russoft.org) is the largest Russian professional organization in the sector of software development. Among its members are more than 50 top companies from Moscow, St Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod and from other Russian high-tech centers, as well as a number of companies from Minsk (Byelorussia).
