CEO of STAR Software Speaks at "Russian High-Tech In Japan" Seminar

CEO of STAR Software Nick Puntikov was a speaker at the seminar "Russian High-Tech in Japan" (www.russian-it-japan.com) held in Tokyo on April 21-22. This first seminar of its kind in Japan gave representatives of the country's leading companies an informed view of Russia's upcoming technologies in the field of IT, biotechnology and nanotechnology.

Nick Puntikov delivered a report entitled "An Application of Natural Language Processing in Bioinformatics, a Case Study" in which he described an R&D project in the field of bioinformatics that STAR successfully completed on behalf of the American firm Millennium Pharmaceuticals, one of the world's largest drugs companies specializing in protein-based lab research.
