Luxoft to Take Part in the 2004 Homeland & Global Security Summit
Feb 25, 2004
The 2004 Homeland & Global Security Summit will take place on March 31 - April 1, 2004 at the Washington Convention Center, Washington D.C. The Summit provides latest information on government and corporate security issues directly from security main source areas: White House, Congressional, Defense, Administration, and homeland security experts. LUXOFT is using its participation in this event to proudly present its new and innovative solution called "SecuraVista".
The main topics covered at the conference and exhibition Summit are: new programs of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, latest details on federal homeland security spending in 2004 and 2005, and U.S. Department of Defense priorities and procurement procedures for homeland security spending. The security priorities questions as well as transportation security administration priorities and procurement procedures for homeland security spending, and IT/network security spending and procurement will be also covered.
SecuraVista product presented by LUXOFT at Homeland & Security Summit, is designed to aid security experts in charge of large, critical facilities such as shipyards, airports, power plants, etc. Security professionals can use its three complementary modules to run realistic and cost effective simulations of an infinite number of scenarios in order to analyze security models, optimize equipment usage, and train security personnel. SecuraVista solution also offers a cost effective way to improve security and crisis response at large gatherings including demonstrations and outdoor concerts. LUXOFT's SecuraVista is a suite of three complimentary components: Optimizer, Simulator and Trainer.
The solution employs visual simulation to optimally secure perimeter space and places requiring special attention such as locations where valuable or dangerous items are kept. Beyond providing actual security via the strategic placement of devices such as cameras, infrared and ultra-sonic sensors, and other detection devices, the SecuraVista system goes much further by streamlining the normally complex and expensive processes of event simulation and the training of security and emergency personnel to react most effectively to a myriad of possible scenarios.
"Visual simulation is not new and has been used for military purposes. However, we at LUXOFT believe this is the first time such a tool is appearing on the market for non military use, where ordinary people in civil environments can benefit from something so powerful," commented Vasily Suvorov, LUXOFT CTO.
