Nick Puntikov, CEO of Star Software, was elected Chairman of the Board of the National Software Development Association RUSSOFT at the conference that took place in Moscow this week.

Moscow, Russia, 24 February 2004 - Nick Puntikov, CEO of Star Software, was elected Chairman of the Board of the National Software Development Association RUSSOFT at the conference that took place in Moscow this week.

RUSSOFT is the largest Russian professional organization in the area of software development. Among its members are more than 50 top companies from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod, and other Russian science and technology centers, as well as a number of companies from Minsk (Belarus).

Nick Puntikov founded Star Software, a leading Russian software outsourcing provider, in 1991. Star was recognized as a key player in the Russian IT outsourcing market by CIO Magazine, Ernst & Young, Aberdeen Group, and other international publications and consultancies. Nick Puntikov was first elected to the Board of RUSSOFT in April 2003. He sees his mission as the Chairman to help define the association's development strategy. Puntikov's 12-year experience in managing a software outsourcing company and his deep knowledge of the IT industry will help him make a valuable contribution to the work of the Board.
