January, 19th, 2010, St. Petersburg, Russia - Reksoft, a leading Eastern-European software development outsourcing provider, announced that it successfully passed a formal assessment against the requirements for SEI CMMI-DEV Maturity Level 5.

Capability Maturity Model(R) Integration (CMMI) - SE/SW is a process improvement approach that provides organisations with the essential elements of effective processes. The model was developed by the SEI (Software Engineering Institute, Carnegie Mellon University) for assessing a company's software engineering capability and the maturity of its processes.

Reksoft has always considered it vital to instil the best practices in quality management and has put a lot of effort into improving the effectiveness of its internal processes. Having confirmed its ISO 9001:2008 certificate in 2009, Reksoft continued its pursuit of perfection and initiated the CMMI-based process improvement program.

The assessment was carried by an official partner of the Software Engineering Institute, IAL Software Engineering, S.A., which confirmed Reksoft's compliance with CMMI-DEV (CMMI for Development) version 1.2 maturity level 5.

Alexander Egorov, Reksoft CEO, says: "The achievement of CMMI maturity level 5 marks the attainment of a management system focused on continuous and quantative improvement of software products and systems being developed by the company. It is also testament to Reksoft's position as a premier service provider and its conformance with customers' highest expectations, and we are proud of it".
