St. Petersburg students win international programming contest ACM ICPC for the seventh time
The ACM ICPC finals, which were organized in Saint Petersburg last week, attracted 120 teams from 36 countries

The winning team of three students, who solved 10 out of 11 problems in five hours, received a $12,000 prize.
The ACM contest has a huge echo among Russian computer science students, and some prepare years for this competition. Each student can only participate in the ACM ICPC twice in his or her lifetime.
In March 2013, a Russian programmer won another prestigious award, the — Facebook Hacker Cup, — together with a $10,000 prize. Moreover, this week Saint Petersburg is hosting yet another programming competition, — the Microsoft Imagine Cup.
