University of Southern California seeks collaboration with Skolkovo

The Los Angeles-based University of Southern California (USC) has plans to collaborate with the Skolkovo innovation hub

Jul 31, 2013
Charles McKenna, professor of chemistry and vice dean for natural sciences at USC, is reported to have visited Skolkovo’s main techno-park last week to take a look at its microanalysis and prototyping lab, talk to executives at Skolkovo and Skoltech (Skolkovo University for Science and Innovation), and also meet residents of Skolkovo’s biomed cluster doing research in areas that are of interest for the American university.

According to Mr. McKenna, during his visit he purposed to assess and agree upon prospects for collaboration, especially in the area of start-up development and research activity. As the USC vice dean put it after his meetings, the partners want to jointly create "a new chemical compound in innovation development."
