Telma and Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University opened a software R&D lab

The R&D lab for mobile devices software development has been announced officially opened in Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University, NNGU. This lab has been created and sponsored by Telma and based in Computer Mathematics and Cybernetics (VMK) department of NNGU, with its headcount totaling to 12 developers.
Similar lab has been opened by Telma a week earlier, October 28, 2003 in Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University.
According to the most recent requirements to scientific researches, three major Universities in Russia (Moscow State University, MGU, Saint Petersburg State University, SpbGU, and Nizhny Novgorod State University, NNGU) have opened Information Technology divisions. In NNGU this division is represented by VMK department.
According to the agreement between NNGU and Telma, VMK department trains the software engineers in the areas of mathematical and software algorithms, today's information and computer technologies and telecommunications. During this training students are offered both lectures and practice on the special computer equipment provided to the R&D lab by Telma.
