STAR SPB Co-sponsors Finalist of ACM Programming Contest

Once again, St-Petersburg is the only city to be presented by two teams at The 27th Annual ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest World Finals (March 22-26, 2003, Beverly Hills, CA). STAR SPB is pleased to be a co-sponsor, along with other members of Fort-Ross consortia, of one of these teams - the St-Petersburg Institute of Precise Mechanics and Optics team, a gold winner in 1999 and 2001, and silver winner in 2000.
From a field of thousands of teams representing over 100,000 students of computing at over 1,100 universities on six continents, sixty-four teams will participate in the 2003 ACM World Finals to be held at Merv's Beverly Hilton Hotel during Academy Awards Week. Eight of these teams are from Russia and Byelorussia, including this year Russia's champion - the Moscow State University team, and other leading Russian universities teams - St-Petersburg Institute of Precise Mechanics and Optics, St-Petersburg State University, N.Novgorod State University, Saratov State University, Vologda State Pedagogical University, Samara Municipal University and Byelorussian State University.
