Some preliminary statistics of Software Outsourcing Summit 2002

1. The growth of the Summit
By the 25th of May we have 200 registered companies and organizations in Software Outsourcing Summit (in total .380 persons). By the same time last year we had approximately 130, so the Summit has grown by 50%, or 1,5 times.
This year we have got the larger exhibition part. Last year we had just 3 stands of sponsors. This year we have 40 stands of sponsors, partners and IT vendors exhibiting their solutions.
As the last year we have got three sponsors of the Summit. They are Baker&McKensie, Sonera Corporation and Borland.
The summit is also supported by the Administration of St Petersburg.
2. Internationalization of the Summit
Among the 200 registered companies and organizations 70 participating entities are from Western, Europe, US and Asia. The rest are from CIS countries (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, etc).
In comparison with the last year, we have much more foreign IT Association as partners of the Summit - BITKOM (Germany), VIW (Austria), ITEK (Denmark), NOA (UK), ScotlandIS (Scotland), Northern Virginia Technology Council (U.S), Ukrainian Association of Software Development.
3. Large companies at the Summit
At the Summit this year we have representatives for several well-known worldwide corporations and large IT companies as Microsoft, Intel, Motorola, LG, Hewlett Packard, Borland, Sonera, EADS, Xerox, Siemens.
4. Geography of the Summit
As well the last year, the geography of the Summit is very broad. The following countries besides Russia will be represented at the Summit
5. Mass media at the Summit
In comparison with last year, the mass media coverage of the Summit is larger. We have 12 information sponsors, among them such well-known newspapers and magazines as Open Systems, SK-Press, Computer Info, Computer Inform, Outsourcing-Russia, Computer Review (USA), the Outsourcing Project (UK), The Russia Journal, Internetmedia Holding, CNews, PRIME TASS, Express Elektronika.
Representatives for 33 newspapers, magazines, TV and radio channels have already got the accreditation to the Summit.
