All in all, the government was going to spend around 20 billion rubles (about $780 million) for technoparks, Leonid Reiman, the head of the Russian Ministry for Information Technologies and Communications, said. Meanwhile, private investors would invest eight times more, he said. He also believes there should be more technoparks in Russia; the program foresees construction of eight technoparks - in Tatarstan, Tyumen region, Kaluga region, Nizhny Novgorod region, Moscow region and Saint Petersburg.

The technopark construction program should be expanded to other regions which have expressed a wish to join it, the minister says. Those include Kemerovo region, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area and Mordovia.
