Nick Puntikov, CEO of Star Software, was elected to the Board of the new unified national association of outsourcing software development companies at the conference held last week in St. Petersburg.

St. Petersburg, Russia, 14 September 2004 - Nick Puntikov, CEO of Star Software, was elected to the Board of the new unified national association of outsourcing software development companies at the conference held last week in St. Petersburg.
In May 2004, two major Russian organizations of software companies, National Software Development Association "RUSSOFT" and the Fort Ross Consortium announced their imminent merger, which was completed this month. Headquartered in St. Petersburg, the new organization will operate under the name "RUSSOFT". Today it unites 70+ companies from across Russia and other CIS countries.
Nickolai Puntikov, Star Software CEO and the Chairman of the Board of the former RUSSOFT, was one of the initiators of the merger and has taken an active part in consolidation process.
