Russia and Morocco to cooperate in IT sector

An agreement between the Russian and Moroccan governments on collaboration in the sphere of postal and electronic communications and information has been signed today within the framework of the visit of Moroccan King Mohamed VI to Moscow, the Communications Ministry reported. The document was signed by Russian Communications Minister Leonid Reyman and Nasr Hajji, Moroccan Secretary of State to the Prime Minister in Charge of Post, Telecommunication Technologies and Information.

The agreement envisages collaboration in postal services, development of satellite communications and broadening of business contacts in the communications sector between the two countries. Cooperation in the sphere of informational technologies includes improvement of the organization of activity of state agencies and local governments; use of informational technologies in the sphere of health care; use of computers at educational establishments; development of the system of distance education and electronic trade.
