On 16 October 2002 LUXOFT held an international web-seminar "Russia as a new center of software outsourcing: major benefits, key trends and best practices". The idea and key target of the event was to attract the attention of business and technology decision makers across the world to the issues of software development outsourcing: its benefits, major trends and success stories. The particular focus of the seminar was outsourcing to Russia.
The speaking side was presented by Dmitry Loschinin, LUXOFT CEO, Stephen Lane, Research Director for Aberdeen Group, and Matthias Hansen, Director, Dell Computers.
The major topics included: the reasons for enterprises to outsource, types of initiatives being outsourced, criteria for offshore partners selection, trends in offshore SW services and other topics, derived from Stephen Lane's latest research, as well as key advantages of outsourcing software development tasks to Russian companies, presented by Dmitry Loschinin and Matthias Hansen.
