Flying High: Reksoft develops plane ticket sales solution for travel agency Neva

November 18, 2013, St. Petersburg — Reksoft, a Russian developer of software and information systems and a member of TechnoServ Group, has developed a flexible and scalable solution that allows online customers of Neva, a travel agency, search and book flights all by themselves.
Reksoft developed a module to search and book air tickets through the Amadeus global distribution system (GDS) and Neva’s internal accounting system, then integrated the solution into www.nevatravel.ru. The solution was created using Microsoft.NET technology and is based on service-oriented architecture, data transmission between services in the Open Travel Alliance (OTA) format. This approach enables the travel agency to use the solution to connect various tourism service providers on its website, such as airline reservation systems, hotel, insurance, cars, etc. The service is intended for both customers and other travel agencies that work with Neva.
Since the site’s launch in August 2013, Neva’s customers and fellow travel agencies can buy tickets online at www.nevatravel.ru. This optimized the work of Neva’s highly skilled aviation department by eliminating the need for manual airline reservation at Amadeus GDS terminals.
