STC Ranks TOP-10 in Russian Innovative Companies list TechUp 2013

Dec 03, 2013
Speech technology center has been named to TechUp 2013’s first Russian national TOP-10 list of fast-growing high-tech companies. The ranking was decided by Russian Venture Company (RVC) and Association of Innovative regions of Russia (AIRR). The aim of the TOP-10 is to identify the most successful and innovative Russian companies, to broaden their audiences and enhance their investment environment.

PwC, the world’s second-largest professional services firm and Vnesheconombank, State Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs, joined TechUp’s team in 2013. PwC developed a new methodology for TechUp ranking and Vnesheconombank granted access to its business support programs to participating medium-sized manufacturing companies.

TechUp uses strict evaluation criteria. Companies were assessed according to several indicators: 3-year R&D and technological innovation expenses, new product launches and resulting revenue share, total revenue, average annual growth, and many other factors.

STC was honored to find itself in the TOP-10. Given the high level of the participants, it’s fair to say TechUp-2013 paints a true picture of the medium-sized tech market in Russia.

AIRR Executive Director Ivan Bortnik had this to say about the results:

"The companies in our list are rising stars of Russian and international business—they deserve to be talked about. They do what few companies in Russia are capable of doing: transforming knowledge into money. And as we all know, the revenue growth of innovative companies is the main indicator for the development of the innovation sphere."
