RBC, 20.10.2004, Moscow 19:12:05. Investments in the creation of a programming center in the city of Dubna will amount to $470m. The center will produce software for Russian and foreign companies. Among the founders of the new center are the government of the Moscow region, where Dubna is situated, Dubna regional authorities and a number of Russian and foreign companies.

An agreement on the establishment of the programming center has been signed today in Dubna. According to the agreement, budget spending on the creation of the programming center will amount to $88.5m. As Russian Information Technologies and Communications Minister Leonid Reyman announced, the establishment of similar centers is among measures to be implemented by the ministry to stimulate the development of Russian software producers. These measures are aimed at increasing Russia's share of the market for IT outsourcing, meeting the domestic demand for IT technologies and attracting investment in the Russian IT sector.
