AMHERST, NH (April 26, 2004) - Auriga Inc., a U.S.-Russian provider of offshore, offsite, and onsite software development services, announced today that Alexis Sukharev, Auriga President and CEO, has been nominated for the 2004 NEBATA Business and Technology Award.

For ten years, the New England Business and Technology Association (formerly Mass eComm) has been selecting and recognizing 10 business leaders each year who have successfully used, or advanced information and internet technology to improve their business, their customers' businesses, or the industry in general.

"This is a tremendous honor for Auriga to have its President nominated for the prestigious NEBATA Business and Technology Award," said Bart Higgins, Executive Vice President at Auriga. "It's a real testament to Alexis' critical contribution to Auriga's success in providing leading-edge technology services, as well as a recognition of his significant impact on the continued prosperity in the New England region."

With decades of industry experience, Alexis Sukharev has the reputation of a strategist, having orchestrated the company's dynamic growth over the past 14 years. Auriga was one of the first to offer the Russian offshore delivery model and identify areas where this model could best increase operational efficiency and drive business growth for U.S. companies. Prior to founding Auriga, Sukharev, Ph.D., was Professor of Operations Research and Numerical Analysis at Moscow State University.

During the selection process, over 100 NEBATA nominations will be narrowed down to a field of 20 finalists, announced at the Fairmont Copley Plaza on June 15, 2004. Ultimately, the 10 winners will be announced at the NEBATA annual awards banquet at the Fairmont Copley Plaza on October 6, 2004.
