Alexander Egorov, Reksoft CEO, speaking at the Nordic CIO Summit - an exclusive Northern European CIO-targeted event, offered insights into the nearshore opportunities that are open to Nordic enterprises today.

Russian nearshore outsourcing vendors have opened up new opportunities in the sourcing landscape for Nordic enterprises, offering them flexible and reliable cooperation models. With close cultural and geographic proximity, Russian suppliers offer the most efficient cost optimization scenarios to its Nordic customers.

The engagement model that has proven its efficiency over the last couple of years is the Offshore Dedicated Center (ODC), hosting the client's application development and/or maintenance group. An ODC is a convenient tool for a CIO to quickly ramp up/down the maintenance and/or development team, with the option to keep the key ODC personnel in the company.

"Russia is the only outsourcing location where high scalability and low employee turnover go along with the attractive price environment, which is set to be stable for the years to come. The booming domestic market in Russia produces an increasing number of IT specialists possessing state-of-the-art industrial and technology expertise who are ready to augment your ODC team on demand", Alexander commented.
