First Software Testing Boot Camp in Russia and the CIS
Apr 02, 2004
Together with the Quality Assurance Institute USA (www.qaiusa.com), the Fort Ross Consortium held the first Software Testing Boot Camp in Russia and the CIS. As well as Russian participants, who made up the vast majority of the audience, representatives - ranging from technical directors, quality-control managers and testing group leaders - of software-development companies from Ukraine, Belarus and Estonia all came to St. Petersburg. The Camp was led by Tim Pelland, Technology Director of QAI USA, who said that he was amazed not so much by participants' technical efficiency - which is already generally recognised - as by Russian specialists' excellent management skills.
The training was part of the preparatory stage for the Certified Software Tester (CSTE) certificate passed by Fort Ross in 2003 when it became the Russian QAI Chapter (www.softwarecertifications.com).
