Spirit Corp group of companies (www.spiritcorp.com), the 1st. leading developer and exporter of software in digital telephony field, the 1st of November marks 5 years of cooperation with Canadian company Nortel Networks (www.nortelnetworks.com), the world leader in the market of fiber-optical systems and telecommunications.

Within the term of successful five years' cooperation which lasts since 1997 - SPIRIT & Nortel Networks have created the center of programming development in digital signals processing (DSP) and data transmission field. Besides this, in 1999 - the unique Russian development center on design and testing of integrated circuits (ASIC) for Nortel under SPIRIT management's appeared.

SPIRIT's engineers, in particular, have integrated software which provides faxes transmission through the Internet (Fax over IP) in Voice over IP product Nortel, and have also worked out number of qualified works on development and testing of specialized microcircuits ASIC.

SPIRIT's ASIC-experts have passed 6 months training course in Canadian Nortel offices and are familiar with contemporary methods of designing and organization of works. All the projects, experts of laboratory have participated in, refer to one of the most complex microcircuits in worlds practice: the integration degree is at least some millions gates, 0.13mkm technology, integrated SRAM and DRAM.

According to the SPIRIT's President Andrew Sviridenko, in 1997 Nortel came up to be the 1st SPIRIT's client outside of Japan, up to this moment 100% of SPIRIT's business were carried on in Japan, cooperating with such companies as Furuno, Japan Radio Company (JRC), NEC, Panasonic, Toshiba and others. The basic of SPIRIT's success in cooperation with Nortel Network is surely the quality of its software products. "We'd also like to remark, that in spite of recession in worlds telecommunication sector, which should definitely touch Nortel in the last 2 years, and also the reduction of Nortel worldwide laboratories number, the company has saved the cooperation with SPIRIT due to the excellence of quality and exclusiveness of SPIRIT's operations done" - has added Andrew Sviridenko.

According to Mark Granic the director of an international research & development department of Nortel Networks: "Nortel is completely satisfied with that mutual benefit cooperation which was worked out between our companies for these years.
