ProcureZone.com software system is one of the largest U.S. e-marketplaces for heavy engineering and construction industry.

The Solution

Procurezone.com is an advanced process management system, which is specifically aimed at maintaining complex procurement procedures. Procurezone.com provides:

integration with "back-end" ERP scheduling,
design interlaced with the procurement process,
purchasing,
payment processing,
receivables management,
financing,
credit analysis, and supply-chain management systems-logistics,
risk mitigation,
call center.

Tools and Technologies

The project has been developed in full accordance with the up-to-date Rational Unified Process technology. Development has been carried out in a "spiral" manner that allowed to elaborate requirements on each iteration. In that way the development process has been maintained in a very flexible way to meet all the needs and expectations of the customer exactly.

Full testing carried out according to the rules of RUP made it possible to develop a practically error-free software system.

Each release of the ProcureZone.com software has been developed strictly On Budget and On Schedule.

ProcureZone.com system has been built with J2EE technology that is one of the most powerful development platforms aimed at creating the reliable and scaleable distributed Web applications.

ProcureZone.com system comprises of several software levels, each of them intended to solve the tasks of a well-defined nature (data storage, business-logic, presentation, control). Multilevel architecture and modular structure ensure flexibility and effectiveness of the system.

ProcureZone.com system uses the following servers:

application server - BEA Weblogic 6.1,
database server - Oracle Database 8.1.6,
Web server - iPlanet Web Server 6.0.
