Project Title: Client Bank and Investment Operations System

The Challenge

We have faced the challenge of development the automated system for banking information management that provides the following functionality:

• Support of paperless document circulation that conducts interbank financial operations;
  
• Support of intra-bank accounts for multidivisional bank;
  
• Support of bank juridical persons accounts;
  
• Support of individual persons accounts operations for bank clients (deposit operations, deposit accounts);
  
• Support of multi-currency bank trading day;
  
• Support of public utilities payments operations;
  
• Provision of daily bank balance generation with breakdown on branches;
  
• Provision of currency bank position organization;
  
• Support of the bank client's access (juridical person) to the accounts information and information on financial transition (client bank system);
  
• System must work under Windows operating control using client-server technology (server part is under Windows NT Server control, version 4.0 or higher, client part is under Windows NT Workstation control, version 4.0 or higher);
  
• Database under DBMS Interbase 4.0 control was used as the data storage.

The Solution

Our development process resulted in building the multi-user bank management system. Bank officials are the only system users that have the direct access to documents stored in the system database. The developed system provides all the functionalities required by the Client.

For each bank document type a special route is defined in the system. The document- flow is performed according to this route. All actions upon the document are traced in the database. This allows administrators to control all the document circulation within the bank and ensures prevention of all unauthorized payments.

In order to provide effective generation of different reports report generation subsystem was embedded which allows unskilled users and system administrators create new and edit old reports on-the-fly. Information backup/restoring system was developed for system administrators.
