The Challenge

New England Computer Associates (NECA), a licensed provider of Computer Associates' software, came to Jensen Technologies with a business management tool they had begun to develop. The company NECA had initially hired to develop the system did not perform well, and the system did not perform to NECA's standards. Due to a lack of documentation and poor code commentary, the code needed to be inspected and redesigned from the ground up.

The Solution

Jensen Technologies greatly improved the code as well as the overall design of the original system. We are developing various applications for a job costing/business management client-server package that construction sub-contractors use to manage hundreds of proposals, job orders, employee schedules and invoices. Together with our client, we integrated these applications with the popular financial packages ACCPAC and MAS90/MAS200.
"For the last year, Jensen Technologies has been building various versions of client/server based business management and estimation systems for my company. They have impressed me with their professionalisms and customer service, as well as the quality and efficiency of the code they produce.

...I highly recommend their service to anyone looking for value in high-quality programming and I intend to use them again for my future projects."

Jensen Technologies developed various modules of this system using Borland C++ Builder and InterBase for Windows NT. In addition to supporting the system, we have extended the modules to support handheld devices. Sub-contractors can input data in real time directly on the construction site and get work order and information remotely.

Tools and Technologies

Jensen Technologies developed various modules of this system using Borland C++ Builder and InterBase for Windows NT. The handheld modules are developed in .NET Compact Framework and are used with Pocket PC devices.
