The Challenge
SEPHORA has been transforming beauty in the U.S. since 1998, and today operates over 280 stores in the U.S. and Canada as well as the world’s top beauty website, Sephora.com. Sephora is well known for its unique retail concept, which is rooted in its distinctive open-sell store design, the beauty expertise of its sales consultants and, most importantly, its unparalleled combination of over 200 classic and emerging brands across a broad range of product categories including skincare, color, fragrance, bath and body, smile care and hair care, as well as Sephora's own private label.SEPHORA was in need of a robust ecommerce solution with unparalleled website functionality — to bring their customers the same seamless and intuitive shopping experience they had come to expect in-store. This meant improved search and navigation as well as a simplification of the checkout process to reduce cart abandonment and create new sales opportunities. It was also critical that the solution be multi-screen ready, to deliver an experience that mirrors the many screens their customers use when making a purchase decision.
Approach and Solution
Using Oracle ATG Web Commerce technology, EPAM helped create an ecommerce website unparalleled in the beauty category. The new solution:- Presents product "quick views" and reduces the steps in the checkout process
