Project Title: CFR Freight has implemented TrueConf Server to improve communication and cut costs related to travelling between their offices

The Challenge

CFR Freight was looking for a video conferencing solution to improve communication, to conduct training and meetings from a central location as well as cut costs related to travelling between company’s offices which are located in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town.

The Solution

CFR Freight chose TrueConf because the company needed a product that would run over its MPLS network. It was not desirable for its video traffic to go over the Internet as Internet access in South Africa is not great. TrueConf was the perfect solution for CFR Freight: setup took only a few minutes and the company had its first conference call within 10 minutes.

TrueConf is not only a great product, it also has amazing service to back it up. Once, CFR Freight had a case when its TrueConf Server did not want to register before a big conference call. Within minutes, a consultant on TrueConf website assisted the clients in resolving their problem. So if you are on the fence, remember that great service is just as important as having a great product. Another thing to consider is control of your system: lots of products go the cloud route which in some instances is great, however having control over bandwidth and being able to fine tune the video quality and overall experience meant that the clients were able to give their colleagues a reliable video conferencing solution.

TrueConf has given their clients the ability to not only save travel costs but also to save time. Training that would usually have to be done more than once at each branch now only needs to be done once. Time is as important as travel cost hence TrueConf Server being the perfect solution.
