Project Title: Distance Learning System

The Challenge

It’s a general knowledge that the field of distance learning systems is developing swiftly. Consult IT Now was set a task to develop a web application that automate the whole process of distance learning:

• acquaintance with training terms and conditions
  
• course with convenient schedule selection and application submmition
  
• payment for training services (online and offline)
  
• training process (lectures, tests, examinations), communication with trainers and students
  
• knowledge management
  
• issuing a certificate

More than that, the system should operate not with students only but with training companies also, that receive right to place their courses in the system after corresponding acts are signed.

The Solution

Consult IT Now experts has managed server hardware components selection, software configuration, system security maintenance. íàñòðîéêå. Stress- and load-tests were held, that have confirmed stable work with load up to 1500 simultaneous users (that was Client’s demand)

At present the system is put into operation, but the cooperation of Consult IT Now with the Client is not over. Further system support has been outsourced to our experts – such as new services development, undisturbed operation maintenance, security measures, reserve copying.

Tools and Technologies

For project realization .NET Framework (C#) and MS SQL were chosen.
