The Challenge

The CLIENT is the European marketing organization of the parent company, which is a research-oriented company and a leader in Japan's pharmaceutical industry since its establishment in 1923. The company's main focus is the development, production and marketing of ethical pharmaceuticals and has sales bases in 13 countries and exports to more than 40 other countries.

With strength of 1500 workers in Europe, the company needs to compete successfully with often much larger market-players. The main task of the project was the analysis and research of the basic logistical business process. This also included system re-engineering for the optimization of the basic logistical activities and their information integration on the basis of the existing applications.
